Career mentoring for women with startuppers

Career Mentoring for Women with Startuppers is a career guidance program designed to support female students and PhD candidates who aspire to found a startup or take their first steps in the world of entrepreneurship.

The program aims to help participants develop greater awareness of the challenges and opportunities women face in the startup ecosystem, while also giving them the chance to start building their first professional network.

A mentoring program with startuppers

Alumnae of Politecnico di Milano who have already launched their own companies will mentor small groups of participants through a program consisting of four meetings, during which essential skills for those who want to take on the role of founder will be discussed:

  • Female leadership
  • Negotiation
  • Resource management
  • Networking
  • Proactiveness in seeking investments
  • Risk-taking

These skills are essential not only in the startup world, but also in any professional path focused on growth and responsibility. The program concludes with a final networking event, dedicated to sharing experiences and celebrating the journey completed.

Who it is for

The project is aimed at female students enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs in Engineering, Design, and Architecture.
All meetings will be held in English.

How to participate

Career Advisors from the Career Service will meet with candidates who have correctly submitted their application and will organize an Innovator Interview—an individual interview designed to highlight participants’ innovator skills, which are required to access the program.

The project is part of the “Am I an Innovator?” pathway. Stay tuned to find out the starting date of the next program!
