Mentoring Sessions with PhD & Postdoc Alumni

The Mentoring Sessions with PhD & Postdoc Alumni are designed as a direct and informal opportunity to engage with PhD and postdoctoral Alumni from Politecnico di Milano who have pursued different professional paths beyond academia.

The session will take place in the atrium in front of Room T.1.3, on the first floor of the Trifoglio Building. Participants will join small-group discussions with Alumni hosting dedicated tables. They will rotate among the tables, giving them the opportunity to meet different profiles, ask questions and gather practical advice on career choices, the transition to the job market, how to value research skills, and professional opportunities.

This interactive format is designed to encourage dialogue, networking and the exchange of experiences between those exploring new professional perspectives and those who have already made this transition.

Mentors currently confirmed include:

  • Silvia Rotta Loria, Innovation Specialist, Bluethink – PhD in Engineering Physics
  • Francesco De Paola, Senior Application Manager, ON Semiconductor – PhD in Electronic Engineering
  • Fabrizio Di Giovanni, Data Scientist, Lutech – PhD in Engineering Physics
  • Paola Garbagnoli, Global IS User Experience Research & Design Manager, ABB – Postdoc in Design
  • Boston Scientific – representative to be confirmed

Please note that the panel is currently being finalized and may be subject to change.
