A2A, together with the Career Service, invites you to take part in the “A2A ZERO EMISSION COMPETITION”, a one-afternoon challenge focused on the theme of Zero Emissions and on the initiatives developed for electric vehicles.

The activity will take place on December 3rd, from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM, on campus.

What is it about? Together with your team, composed of students from different academic backgrounds, you will work on a task related to the Zero Emission theme applied to electric vehicles.
The task will be proposed by A2A company representatives.

The goal of the challenge is to develop a solution in slide format addressing the assigned task and to present it to a jury composed of A2A technical professionals.

Each group will work on one of the following topics:

• Cost: comparison of the total life-cycle cost of electric vehicles versus traditional vehicles;
• Environmental impact: analysis of pollution related to battery production, logistics and disposal, emissions, and impact on electrical grids;
• Batteries: evaluation of cost, lifespan, replacement, and safety;
• Charging infrastructure: assessment of the capacity of electrical grids to support the increasing energy demand due to the growth of charging stations (fast, ultra-fast, and slow charging);
• Range and charging: analysis of limitations related to electric vehicle range and accessibility of charging points, with reference to innovative technologies for more efficient and widespread charging.

Participation Requirements

• Be a student enrolled in any Engineering degree programme
• First come, first served: the first 30 registered students will be admitted

After the registration deadline, November 26th, 2025, you will be contacted by the Career Service via email to receive confirmation of participation and all the instructions needed to take part in the challenge.

The event will be held in Italian.

All events organized are open exclusively to students and graduates of Politecnico di Milano.
