To activate an internship in Italy, two documents are required:
- Internship Agreement (Convenzione)
A formal contract between the University and the Host Organization, that defines the rights and responsibilities of both parties and covers all future internships. - Internship Document (Progetto Formativo)
A document shared by the University, the Host Organization, and the intern, detailing activities, learning objectives, and internship structure.
If you need to request the agreement:
- Register or log into your profile.
- Go to your dashboard and complete the required fields.
- Download the agreement file, sign it digitally (CADES), and upload it.
- Upload the receipt for the stamp duty payment (32/16€).
The agreement will be activated within approximately 5 working days.
If the agreement is already active (or pending activation)
You can immediately proceed with the internship activation request:
- Select the internship type (mandatory, optional or extra-curricular/graduate?)
- Enter the intern’s student ID number.
- Specify location, schedule and duration.
- Describe activities, learning objectives, and skills to be acquired.
- Enter the Company Tutor and Administrative Contact.
- Submit the request.
You will receive confirmation within 5–10 working days.
COB/UNILAV (required only for extracurricular internships)
Mandatory only for extracurricular internships activated with graduates. It must be uploaded through the SIUL portal and include:
- the INAIL position assigned by Politecnico di Milano (“gestione per conto” dello Stato);
- INAIL PAT number (all zeros + note: “gestione per conto dello Stato”);
- liability insurance policy no. 505683046 – Allianz Milano Filiberto;
- VAT No. 04376620151 – Tax Code 80057930150.
Not required for curricular internships with students.
