Do you want to learn how to speak Italian fluently?

Siemens is here to support you! In Siemens the diversity of employees is the key value that makes the company a successful global leader. Siemens Italy has thus decided to team up with Politecnico di Milano to help international students understand and approach the Italian job market successfully. In Siemens Italy - as well as many other Italian companies – speaking Italian is crucial to having access to a wide range of job opportunities. This is why Siemens has decided to offer a free professional Italian language course to a selected group of Polimi international students in 2012. The course will last 60 hours and take place on Politecnico campus grounds.

Last 18 January 2012 Siemens and the Career Service met a large group of Polimi international students who showed interest in the course. The students did a written test on their Italian language level and the results will soon be available.

The course is about to start!

In the past two weeks about 20 students had an oral interview with the Italian teacher for the assessment of their language level and motivation.

If you are an international student who wants to learn Italian, but you haven’t been selected for the course: don't give up! Keep an eye on our website, we might organize Italian Courses with other companies in the near future!

The course starts on Monday 6th February at Polimi Leonardo Campus, Rectorate Career Lab, Building 1.

Selection process for the language course is currently taking place.

By the end of January, 8 students will be selected on the basis of on the following requirements:

• be enrolled for 2011/2012 in one of the following MSc courses: Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Energy Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering of Computing Systems, Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Please note that priority will be given to 1st-year Master students.
• max. 25 years old
• level of Italian (based on assessment results)
• be strongly motivated and willing to participate in a semi-intensive language course during the months of February and March 2012
• motivation (letter and final interview)
