Here is some useful advice on how to prepare yourself for the Career Day

• Update your CV up to the days prior to the event;

• Prepare an English version too (foreign companies will be taking part);

• Print numerous copies, you will not be able to print others or copy it on the campus;

• In the days prior to the event, carefully analyse the companies that will be taking part:

o Visit their websites, try to understand which of them are in line with your profile and your career ambitions;

o Try to understand the culture of each company that will be present, it will be very helpful in ensuring that you show yourself in the best possible light during the Career Day;

o Look at the work placement and junior job vacancies and consider whether you have the right qualifications. You can find these vacancies either on our vacancy notice board or on the company websites on the “work for us” pages;

o Once you have done this, select the companies that you want to meet and locate them on the stand map;

• Find out which companies will be making presentations and apply to take part in those you find most interesting;

• Dress suitably: you do not need to wear formal clothes, but a good first impression can make all the difference;

• Prepare the questions you want to put to the company contacts regarding their company and the jobs offered: this shows your interest and will always be appreciated.
