Apprenticeship is an actual contract that enables you to work and complete your education at the same time. You will continue your studies and will be hired by a company through an apprenticeship in higher learning contract. At the end of the apprenticeship (when you graduate), the company may decide whether or not to hire you indefinitely.

Apprenticeship-degree contracts are intended for students:

- aged between 18 and 29

- enrolled in a degree course at the Politecnico di Milano

- who, at the time of filing the request, have yet to achieve the following University Academic Credits: 
bachelor degrees: between 60 and 80 credits; 
master degrees: between 40 and 60 credits

 Apprenticeship-degree contracts can be used in any professional and productive sector (excluding the public administration) by companies headquartered in Lombardy.

The contract cannot be for more than 36 months for three-year degrees and 24 months for single-cycle/specialist degrees.

At the end of the internship period (when the student graduates), the employer may decide whether or not to offer the new graduate an open-ended contract.
