What is an internship?

The internship (or training program) is a traning period to be carried out at a Company which has signed an agreement with Politecnico di Milano
During the internship the student gets to know the company's organizational issues, on the basis of a training program which applies the analysis and problem solving methodologies learned during his studies.

Who are the candidates interested in an internship?

The internship is compulsory for the students of First level degree courses (BSc) with professional training focus.
The compulsory internship is an important moment for the growth of a student who chooses to finish his studies with a Bachelor of Sciences degree.

Benefits

The main benefit for the student is to apply directly the methodologies and knowledge acquired during his studies. Throughout the internship, the undergraduate provides his knowledge in Engineering, applied to specific business cases and collaborates with the competent company representatives in the problem-solving process.
For the company an internship is profitable in many ways. The presence of the trainee inside the company must be seen as a moment of enrichment, during which the company acquires the student's knowledge applied to its specific business.

Subject of the internship

The subject of the internship must come from specific business needs. This is necessary so that the internship will be effectively useful and interesting for both sides.

Period of time

La internship duration is 450 ore, which normally corresponds to a period of 3-4 months spent inside the company.
